I mean, if he's going through a growth spurt, he is eating because he needs it. What about like a tupperware of carrot and celery sticks with ranch that he can have as much as he wants of- or apples and oranges- or whatever healthy food it is he gets into. Sneaking food worries me- I know not everyone ends up with disordered eating- but, sneaking food is not a habit he wants to get into! And, he's how old now- being able to take healthy responsibility for what he's eating would be a great opportunity for him (instead of having to have permission for everything he eats).
